Rough It respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.

We collect personal information only when necessary to process orders, provide customer support, and improve our services.

This may include your name, contact details, shipping address, billing information, and purchase history.

Payment information is processed securely through third-party payment providers. Rough It does not store full credit card details.

Damaged, Faulty or Incorrect Items

If your item arrives damaged, faulty or incorrect, contact us:

Within 7 days of delivery for damaged or incorrect items
Within 7 days of delivery for manufacturing faults

Email reachangusmcnamara@gmail.com with your order number, photos and a description of the issue.

Exchanges

Exchanges are only accepted for damaged, faulty or incorrectly supplied items
Items must be unused, in original packaging and in the same condition as received
Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility unless required under Australian Consumer Law
A 10% repackaging fee applies if original packaging is damaged
Items must be returned within 14 days of approval

Refunds

Refunds are issued only where required under Australian Consumer Law, including approved major failures. Approved refunds are processed within 5–7 business days.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

Warranty Periods

Rooftop tents: 2 years
Awnings & accessories: 1 year

Warranty applies from the original purchase date and is valid for the original purchaser only. Warranty is non-transferable.

Warranty Coverage

Warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship under normal use. Remedies may include repair, replacement, spare parts or reasonable compensation as required by law.

Warranty Exclusions

Warranty does not cover damage caused by:

Incorrect installation or modification
Misuse, abuse or neglect
Wear and tear
Weather exposure or wind damage
UV damage, condensation or mould
Punctured canvas or snapped zippers
Rust due to poor maintenance
Damage during transit after delivery

Labour, installation and third-party costs are not covered.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Rough It’s liability is limited to the repair or replacement of the product. We are not liable for incidental or consequential losses.
