Who We are

We’re a couple who love camping and getting outdoors. Like most people, we started with whatever gear we could afford — cheap stuff that didn’t last, or overpriced “high-quality” gear that didn’t live up to the hype, so we decided to be the people we need.

Why "rough it"? 

ROUGH IT started as a bit of sarcasm. Rooftop tent camping isn’t caravanning — and that’s kind of the point. It’s roughing it.
Simple setups, no fuss, no drama. Just pack up, head out, and enjoy the trip without all the luxury.

Who We are What we believe

We think camping gear should be for everyone, not just people who can drop big money. Our aim is to sell solid, reliable gear at a fair price, with no hidden costs and no surprise shipping fees.

the gear we sell

Everything we stock is practical, functional, and free of big, ugly logos. We only sell gear we use ourselves (or would happily use). If it’s not good enough for our weekends away, it doesn’t make the cut.

We’re not trying to go viral or make millions — we just want to make camping simple and affordable, so everyone can just get out there and ROUGH IT.​​
